What is Lesson Plan?
Lesson Plan is software for teachers to track the lesson plans for their classes.
Since a handheld computer
can easily fit in your shirt pocket or purse, you can work on your lesson
plans whenever you have a few minutes, wherever you are!
How do I get started with Lesson Plan?
You enter information into Lesson Plan regarding the days
on which you teach, the start- and end-times of periods at your school, and the
classes you teach. Then you select the class that meets during each day and
period. When that's done, you can start entering your lesson plans.
How do I enter data into Lesson Plan?
You can enter up to 10k of text for each lesson plan. The
text can be entered via Graffiti® or using a keyboard. Templates let you
enter saved text in just two taps. The PC
version also allows you to edit lesson plans on your desktop computer and then
synchronize them with the data on your handheld.
Once I've entered my lesson plans, what can I do with them?
You can view and modify them on your handheld. You can
switch between days, periods, and class sessions in a single tap. You can
search for lesson plans that contain a keyword. Lesson Plan also allows you to
attach a note to any day and to indicate that there is no school on certain
days (e.g., for holidays).
What if I need a printed copy of my lesson plans?
Using Lesson Plan Desktop, you can print your lesson plans
in either a daily or weekly format. If you have PalmPrint
installed on your handheld, you can also print reports directly to any IR-enabled
printer. Since Lesson Plan Desktop creates reports as HTML files, you can even
email them to your principal, administrator, or substitute-teacher. The
desktop application also allows you to print a class
summary, which lists all of the lesson plans for a given class.
What are the system
requirements for Lesson Plan?
Lesson Plan will run on any handheld running Palm OS® 3.0 or later. The PC
version of Lesson Plan Desktop will run on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP,
and Vista.
There is
a Macintosh version for Mac OS 8/9 and a native OS X version as
well.
How can I get Lesson Plan?
You can purchase
Lesson Plan for only $19.95 for the PC version or $14.95 for the Macintosh
version. Since there is also a
free
downloadable trial version, why not give it a try?
