Why can't I minimize, maximize, or rotate the display on my Tungsten T3?
In order to take advantage of these capabilities, you must be running Lesson Plan version 3.0 or later, and install two additional .prc files. For details, please see our T3 Compatibility page.
When I run the PC version of Lesson Plan Desktop, I get
the following error: "Automation Error: The
object invoked has disconnected from its clients." Why am I getting
this and what can I do about it?
This error is caused by a compatibility problem. It usually
happens on PCs that are running Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Office
2000. Tapperware has been developing a workaround for this problem. If you get
this error, please send an email to support@tapperware.com
and we'll help you to resolve this issue.
The PC desktop
application says that I don't have any databases, but I'm sure I do.
What's the problem?
As described in the Readme.txt file, before
you can use the desktop application to edit your lesson plans, you must:
The first time you run Lesson Plan Desktop,
it will automatically install the Lesson Plan Conduit. If you ever need to do
so, you can also install the conduit manually by running LPConduitInstall.exe,
which should be in the "C:\Program Files\Lesson Plan Desktop" directory.
I've created a
new database on my handheld and done a HotSync, but it doesn't appear in the PC desktop
application. Why not?
Before a database will appear in the
drop-down list of databases, you must complete the 4 setup steps for the
database (as described in the users manual)
on your handheld.
Sometimes I make
changes to my lesson plan entries in the PC desktop
application but they don't seem to get copied to the handheld. Why not?
When you want to make changes on the desktop,
follow this procedure:
Do not open Lesson Plan on your handheld in
between the two HotSyncs in steps 1 and 4 above.
Can I synchronize
my data to multiple desktop computers? Macintosh Users:
Yes. Since the Macintosh version does not provide synchronization, you can use
the desktop application to view or print lesson plan entries on multiple
Macintosh computers.
PC Users: No.
You should synchronize your data to only one desktop PC. If you HotSync to
multiple PCs, install the Lesson Plan Conduit on only one of them (or set the
conduit on all but one of them to "Do Nothing").
I've deleted a database on my handheld
but it still appears in the PC desktop
application. How can I get rid of it?
To delete a database in the PC desktop
application, you must delete its three backup text files. If the database's name
is, for example, My Lesson Plans, search your computer for the following files:
Once you delete these three files, the
database will no longer appear in the desktop application.
